Anastasia “Extended Play” feat. Distinguished Sounds, Lady Shacklin, Mike James Jr.
July 26, 2019 @ 9:00 pm - 2:00 am
Anastasia, renowned Austin-based recording artist and President of CREVIVAL Entertainment, is debuting her newly revamped stage show with “Extended Play,” a concert and single selection party. Featuring Distinguished Soundz, a widely popular band which has established a stellar reputation within Texas as well as the national touring circuit, “Extended Play” is a lively re-imagining of her most popular songs. Distinguished Soundz has taken the best pieces from Anastasia’s previous projects and skillfully weaved them into something bigger for the stage.
In addition to revisiting the earlier works that have earned her solid recognition in Urban music circles, Anastasia will be premiering six newly written songs at “Extended Play,” while offering her audience the opportunity to vote for their favorite. Since a worldwide distribution deal is in place for CREVIVAL, her next release will be highly visible to music consumers, as the selected song is poised to become Anastasia’s first global single on her own record label. This is an immense step for an independent artist who honed her craft in the halls and venues of Austin, TX, the Live Music Capital of the World. This is a moment that Anastasia is excited to share with her fans.
Anastasia’s new material, crafted over an intense six month period, was produced by Tariq “Ty on da Track” Fagan, first-place winner of the 2019 SXSW Beat Battle and one of Austin’s best kept secrets. Fagan’s work is well known for its melodic versatility and trap influence. “When he opened up his catalog to me two years ago, I knew we could create not just good music, but a unique sound. And here we are,” says Anastasia.
“Extended Play” takes place on Friday, July 26th, at Flamingo Cantina (515 E. 6th St. Austin, TX 78701). As a staple of Reggae, World, and Urban music on Austin’s infamous 6th Street, Flamingo Cantina has maintained a strong presence in downtown Austin for 28 years. “Flamingo is the place I went to experience music before I started making music,” Anastasia adds. “They’ve always opened up their doors and stage to me. They helped me become the performer and businesswoman that I am today.”
Reggae powerhouse Lady Shacklin & Jah Souljahs Band, and R&B crooner Mike James, Jr. will also perform at “Extended Play,” rounding out an evening of high-quality live entertainment.
When asked about her inspiration for bringing her old and new music to the stage with fresh new instrumentation, Anastasia replies, “I have a message, a vision. I live this and I love this.”
