Son de Rey’s Latin Alternative sound blends traditional cumbia and salsa beats with pop electronica. In August 2012 they released the “Ojos Azules – EP” produced by Grammy Winner Fabian Hernandez with lyrics written by lead vocalist Luis Miguel Ramirez and arrangements by keyboardist David Moreno. This collaboration of talent has cultivated both catchy and commercial music.
La Vida Buena may look the part, but they are NOT your typical salsa band from Austin. Sure they have the usual suspects like piano, congas, and timbales, but what happens on stage is much more than that. Their performance brings together sophisticated Latin riffs with elements of jazz and hip hop to keep dancers in step and the crowds grooving.
