In a departure from the traditional reggae songwriting intrinsic to Jamaican Dub, Grimy Styles draws inspiration from many artists spanning from Pink Floyd to Slayer and Astor Piazzola to U2. Classically inspired melodica and guitar drive melodies while drum and bass point back to the fundamental rhythm of King Tubby and Lee “Scratch” Perry. Grimy is back with new material and will be sure to play old favorites as well.

The Azmaris opens the show with their deep groovy instrumentals and other explorations, birthed from enjoying music by Mulatu Astatke and other Ethio-Jazz legends.
