A reggae/rock fusion band:

Bum Lucky (Dallas-Fort-Worth, TX):
This intense Dubbed out Reggae Rock Fusion band was created in adventurous moments after Mike Richardson (guitar and vocals), former bass player for HERBNLIFE from 2003-2009, moved from Arizona straight to Texas. He originally named the band JBreak in spite of the legal issues he had at hand, but after months of packing his cigarettes and flipping the lucky one around, he always ended up bumming his lucky smoke out….. and there it was….Bum Lucky’s name. Playing with HERNBLIFE for 6 years he indulged in touring the West coast landing gigs from Mexico up to Washington, opening up for Slightly Stoopid and Longbeach Dub Allstars.

Eventually Mike placed an ad on craigslist for a keyboardist. Being the only person who replied to the ad, Juan Galvin (current Keyist) collaborated and Mike quotes to this day “I will never make music without Juan ever again” The chemistry set in and many shows went on. Opening for Tribal Seeds, Pepper, Passafire, Natural Vibrations, Pacific Dub, JBoog, Ballyhoo and Mishka at venues such as House of Blues and playing numerous local venues with performances at The Bone, The Free Man, The Grotto, Lola’s, The Cellar, The Spice Pub, Bar PM, The Prophet Bar and many more. After about a year and a half of establishing solid roots in the band Mike Richardson stumbled across female Booking Agent, Christie Welch from The Social Butterfly Entertainment Network while trying to book shows and events. They invited Christie to a closed jam session and thru her vocals they discovered her soft sexy DUB appeal. Bringing more energy and sway to the crowd every time, Bum Lucky stays Irie. Later to bring in Jamey Gleaves on Bass and Patrick Snowden on drums making the sound change over time into something phenomenal. With this common connection, they were able to develop their own unique sound that has been described as an upbeat dubbed out fusion of Reggae, Punk, Ska, and good old fashioned Rock and Roll. With major influences like Slightly Stoopid, Authority Zero, The Movement, Sublime and the likes of Ted Nugent; Bum Lucky hopes to follow in their footsteps while influencing their own mark on the music industry at the same time.
