*Guateque Son specializes in the regional folk music from the state of Veracruz, Mexico – with a Tejano edge. The music incorporates zapateado (dance), cajon (drum), quijada (donkey jawbone percussion), jarana (rhythm guitar), requinto (melodic guitar), and versos (singing and poetry).
