SUMMARY:Reverie
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS HERE\nReverie “Been A Star” Spring Tour\n8PM – 2AM\, Ages 18+ Welcome\nJoin the event on FB here\n\n \n  \n+ DJs Notion & Dennis Loy featuring special guests:\nZaytee\, Ty-C\, Kaleidoscope\, Salus Herb\, CHHK\, Kree23\, Nick Cruz & Spy MC \n*** Reverie was raised by a single mother in Northeast Los Angeles\, Highland Park. Her household was full of dysfunction & she ran away for the first time in the 3rd grade. Her poetry was always her safe haven. She frequented the school counselor\, detention & was suspended often. Despite her behavioral issues\, she maintained good grades & even had her poetry & art published. In the 7th grade\, Reverie discovered “underground hip hop” & her poems transitioned into raps. \nIn high school\, Reverie obsessed over graffiti\, which lead to her first arrest & fights\, which eventually got her expelled from school. She began kicking it with a gang & heavily abusing drugs to mask her depression. Louden\, her brother & now producer\, was selling crack to feed his heroine addiction\, got stabbed & shortly after was sentenced to 1 year in a juvenile detention center. \nIn hopes of a second chance at life\, Louden & the family moved to Washington\, where they began to record music. In 2009\, they released Reverie’s first mixtape ever\, ‘Castle In The Air\,’ & within 24 hours\, it got 3K+ plays. It was then that they realized their music could become something much bigger. \n9 years & 10 chronicled projects later\, Reverie regularly tours all over Europe & USA & has dedicated fans around the globe. She & Louden still record music together regularly & have cultivated an organic\, cult-like following\, which they call ‘Satori Mob\,’ which is also the name of Reverie’s urban wear clothing brand. Hip hop saved their lives.

SUMMARY:Los Kung Fu Monkeys\, The Inverters
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS HERE \nAges 18+ Welcome\, Advance tickets available til 6PM day of show. \nJoin the event on FB here\n  \n \nLos Kung Fu Monkeys are a ska punk band based out of Canada\, U.S and Mexico. Formed in 1997 joined their talents and forces to start Los Kung Fu Monkeys. Thatsame year the band recorded their first three-song demo which included songs like “Consecuencias” based on the excess of uncontrollable youth\, costing them 10 dollars to record each song\, and opening the doorway to being one of the top local and regional bands with such a loyal following that it caught the eye of Los Angeles-based now defunct label ONE SHOT RECORDS\, who released their first album Rebuilding the World recorded in Love Juice labs in Riverside\, California\, U.S.A. in 2000. With the release of Rebuilding the World in 2001\, they were brought to the attention of an international audience that it became the precursor and the beginning of what would be the path to endless touring throughout the world\, starting their first with Union 13 (Epitaph Records) all over Mexico in 2001 with a sold out concert in Mexico City for more than 2000 people. \nIn 2002 they released the Para los que ya no estan E.P. limited to only 1000 copies that included a series of lost demos by Philco Raves of Mystic Records (punk label in the 1980s and 90s and producer of NOFX’s Maximum Rock and Roll Album)\, including a hidden track of AFI’s song “A Single Second” covered by Los Kung Fu Monkeys live at the Glasshouse in Pomona\, Ca. \n“End Transmission” was released in 2003\, recorded\, mix\, mastered and produce by Mike Trujillo (Strung out\, Chocking Victim\, collaborator with Epitaph Records) and this album becomes the fuel to get the band to shared stage\, tour Mexico and for the first time the U.S. with Voodoo Glow Skulls in 2004. Time passed\, promotion still going on the album\, and the band gets invited to take part on one of the most important punk festivals in the U.S. the “Vans Warped tour” in 2005 becoming the first Independent Mexican Band to be a part of the festival tour and getting a slot on the 2006 “Vans Warped Tour” Compilation with the song “Short Fuse”\, also by this time the band records their first official music video for the song “Neglect” landing a month plus airtime on the National Mexican Music Television station TELEHIT. \nThis same year they released the self-titled album\, this is the first album on their own label RIOT RADIO Records\, taking this decision when the band got offered a deal from a label in Mazatlan\, Mexico that the owners ended up being involved with drug trafficking\, laundering money and being arrested by the authorities\, leaving the band with no label and no way to release their album\, so they took upon themselves to make this happen\, the result\, one of their most successful albums in Mexico\, recorded\, manufactured and distributed by the band itself\, with 14 songs mostly in Spanish (one in English)\, and the sound and the fury of such songs like “Una y Otra Vez” caught the eye of European label Übersee Records who opened the doors for the band to release and tour Europe for the first time in 2007\, going to France\, Germany\, Czech Republic\, and Austria. \nIn 2008 LKFM was hand-picked by Dropkick Murphys directly to be their support band in all their Mexico dates\, and also to be included in Guadalajara’s “Festival Extremo” with artist like Moby\, Underworld\, Maldita Vecindad\, Stephen Marley and more. \nIn 2009 Übersee Records asked LKFM to release an EP exclusively for Europe\, as a result they released the “Lobo Hombre in Paris” E.P. where they cover the iconic Spaniard pop band La Union with the song of the album title\, also including another cover “Screaming at a wall” from the iconic legendary hardcore band Minor Threat\, a remake of “Ciudad de Nadie” and 2 more unreleased tracks for the album that open the doorway to tour England\, and Belgium for the first time as well as coming back to Germany\, then coming back the tour the United States\, and once again being picked to be the support band for NOFX’s Mexican tour in late 2009 Tijuana and Mexico city. By 2010 the band releases their first discography collection album “And they came from Tijuana…” recollecting almost all of their songs from their firs 3 full length albums and giving the opportunity for the band to play in Canada at the “Victoria Ska Festival” with bands like Fishbone and the Aggrolites\, and tour once again the U.S.A.\n2011 came and with 10 years of non-stop touring\, being included in many important compilations\, played with many important bands\, and festivals\, Los Kung Fu Monkeys return to the game and continue touring Europe once again now playing in the Netherlands\, Slovenia\, Slovakia\, and Croatia for the first time\, and coming back to Belgium\, England\, Germany and Austria once again\, playing 4 shows of the tour with NYC’s The Slackers for a crowd of 2000 in Austria at the Arena. \n2012 became the most important year of the band\, after many years of proving that they are a Mexican Icon and Institution in Mexico\, they get added to the most important rock music festival in Latin America “VIVE LATINO 2012” playing with Gogol Bordello\, Foster the People\, Café Tacuba\, and MADNESS. A new record on the works for the first time this same year Los Kung Fu Monkeys release their first vinyl record a 7” 45 RPM split records with the Voodoo Glow Skulls on their own label Cafeina Riot Radio in Mexico touring to promote the release September and October. And also releasing a greatest hits record in Japan on ska in the world records\n2013 saw the band tour Canada again with Jamaican Canadian singer Jah Cutta and sharing the stage with bands like the Planet smashers and Rude city riot. Also Returning to Mexico city to play a sold out headlining show at the famed Alicia venue. \n2014 Los kung fu Monkeys start the year playing Que me pregunten fest in Mexico city in front of 10\,000 people and in April start to record their new upcoming album with Canadian producer Steve Loree (The Real Mckenzies\, S.N.F.U) \n2015 looks to be their best year putting out a new record with Canadian label Stomp Records and planning on touring for the 2015 release of the record and all of 2016. \nTill this day in 2019\, Los Kung Fu Monkeys has toured in over 15 countries all over the world\, Headlining\, and also sharing the stage and bill with all the greats in the underground as well as the mainstream markets\, mythical bands like The Misfits\, Moby\, Panteon Rococo\, Mad Caddies\, Voodoo Glow Skulls\, Fishbone\, Madness\, The Toasters\, The Aggrolites\, NOFX\, Dropkick Murphys\, Enrique Bunbury\, the Planet smashers\, The Adicts and many more.

Once again\, the Vatos Rudos from Texas are at it again\, mixing global roots music with their Chicano style showing off their Pachuco Boogie sounds.

SUMMARY:Jesse Royal
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS HERE\nEarly event\, Ages 18+\nDoors @ 8pm w/ DJ Jah Bill\nJesse Royal on by 10PM\n\n\nJoin the event on FB here \n  \n \nWhen Jesse Royal was only a cub\, the Lord revealed to his mother that she would have to release one of her sons to the world\, proclaiming “he will be a psalmist\, declaring righteousness and justice throughout creation.” As Jesse matured into a young lion\, his mother observed in him a strong sense of integrity and a natural ability to positively affect those around him. But\, it was his deep spirituality\, passion for life and unique connection to music that would convince her that he was being molded to be used by the Creator. \nJesse David Leroi Grey\, aka Jesse Royal\, was born April 29\, 1989. He enjoyed his early years in the hills of Maroon Town and the District of Orange in St. James before moving in the late 90’s with his mother and brother to join his father in Kingston. As fate would have it\, Royal developed a special relationship with Daniel ‘Bambaata’ Marley (son of Ziggy Marley) at school. His friendship with Daniel proved to be fuel to the fire as they shared a deep passion for music and football. Their friendship evolved as they spent a great part of their childhood together. Soon the natural inclination confirmed they were simply brothers with different mothers. As these cubs became lions so grew their devotion to music. With the help of longtime friend Curt ‘Qban’ White they began composing and creating their own music. And together they proceeded to fulfill what they knew was a predestined musical journey\, designed to inspire\, engage and unite people beyond all geographic borders. \nAfter Jesse returned home from schooling abroad\, he reestablished a relationship with high school friend and young producer Kareem ‘Remus’ Burrell (son of Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell). They began creating and composing music together also\, which developed into a Movement as they shared similar views on the social state of Jamaica. \nBlessed with a voice that captures the pain and hunger of a ‘downtrodden’ people; Royal’s militant character and profound lyricism caught the heart of heralded reggae producer\, Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell. Fatis Burrell\, affectionately called ‘Father’ had a great and pure impact on the ‘old soul’ of Jesse; as he credits him as an invaluable inspiration and one of the most influential individuals that he has ever encountered. \nWorking with musicians such as Sly Dunbar\, Robbie Shakespeare\, Donald Dennis\, Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith and Monty Savory; Jesse is currently in the studio putting the final touches on his debut album with producer Kareem Burrell of the XTM.Nation. Jesse Royal also recently released his debut mixtape dubbed ‘Misheni’\, which means ‘The Mission’ in Swahili.

As a solo artist\, with Black Uhuru\, and back as a solo artist\, the “Ruff” Rose has achieved great success throughout his career\, even as different Jamaican musical styles have phased in and out of popularity. \nAs a solo artist\, Michael regularly tours the U.S. and Europe\, and has maintained his Jamaican fan base with hit singles on the island and abroad. He is a modern roots singer\, and fits perfectly into today’s scene. With a glorious past and a wide-open future\, Michael Rose is truly a reggae superstar. \nDeeply mystical\, Jah9 has emerged from a chrysalis of poetry\, dub and spirit to become a powerful femiNINE energy within a universal grassroots movement of consciousness. Inspired by the open spaces in the instrumental dub of 1970’s Jamaican roots music\, Jah9 sings with a voice that belies the dimensions of her physical body\, from a soul much older than its current vessel; “reminiscent of that darkly operatic wailer for truth & justice\, Nina Simone.” Her philosophy–profoundly spiritual\, and her style–Jazz on Dub.
