As leader of the legendary trio(The Meditations) Ansel and his fellow band members performed at the historical ONE LOVE PEACE CONCERT\, held April\, 22nd 1978\, at the request of Bob Marley. Legends like Jimmy Cliff\, Sly and Robbie\, Philip Smart\, Willie Lindo and Gregory Isaac are a few of the people that Ansel has worked with. These contributions have sculpted the sound of Roots Rock Reggae over the years. Making The Meditations a fundamental and essential part of reggae music. \nOver the past few years Ansel (who has produced all of The Meditations’ albums excluding three) have been the only remaining original member of The Meditations to continue touring. Accompanying him for almost 10 years\, as background vocalist are Laury Webb(who is also featured on The Good Of Man album) and DaddyLion Chandell. Together\, they’ve been touring the United States performing for massive crowds at venues like the Red Rock Amphitheater twice in seven years.  \nCriss crossing the United States year after year\, embarking on journeys over waters to Africa in an attempt to quench the thirst for Meditations Music. On January 29\, 2010 Ansel performed for exhilarated fans at The Parker Place(in Abidjan\, Ivory Coast)\, which due to the demand\, resulted in being two events instead of one. This amazing experience produced a great live album\, titled Ansel Meditations Live In Africa. This album is of legendary proportions to say the least. Its Roots Reggae at its finest. Its raw and filled with uncut material\, capturing a monumental moment in time.  \nOpening the show is legendary Jamaican singer and songwriter\, performer Clinton Fearon. He and his long time guitarist Mark Oi will be performing an acoustic set.\nHe was born in Jamaica and become the bassist\, vocalist and lyricist for the mythic Gladiators\, as well as a session musician for Coxsonne Dodd in Studio One and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry’s at Black Ark\, two of the main producers on the island at this time. He also composed some everlasting bass lines for well-known artists like Yabby You\, Jimmy Riley\, Max Romeo\, Junior Byles and many others. \nAfter leaving Jamaica 1987\, Clinton Fearon start a new career from Seattle. With other musicians of the Gladiators\, he decided to stay in the US and to found The Defenders. The band built a nice following in the Northwest. After five years the band split and Clinton Fearon formed the Boogie Brown Band with local musicians in 1993.\nClinton Fearon recorded eight albums with Boogie Brown Band and two albums in solo acoustic. \nEach song of Clinton Fearon is a strong message coming from the heart of a man who dedicates his life to help a better world to come. With chiselled music and poetic lyrics\, he opens reggae to a wider audience who simply loves his beautiful songs.\nAcoustic \n“Many of my songs started just like that\, with me and mi guitar…”. Since 2005 and the release of Mi An Mi Guitar\, Clinton Fearon is giving magical solo performances in acoustic. With just vocal and guitar\, Clinton is playing his music all over the world\, in the United States\, in France and Europe but also Brazil\, Kenya\, Peru and various other locales. \n” My music is roots reggae from the island of Jamaica. I grew up deep in the hills\, up in St. Catherine\, surrounded by nature\, beauty and hard work. Even as a child\, I knew I wanted to be a musician and began my career singing in church and at school\, and eventually built my own guitar! As a teenager\, my journeys took me to Kingston where I met many musicians and began writing and recording music. The Skatalites\, Motown artists and Jamaican musicians who came before me all influenced my music. \nI write from my heart. The world is full of inspirations… nature\, people\, politics\, love. I write about them all. My music is good for the soul – always with a message of hope and betterment for tomorrow. DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ON SALE HERE\n\n\nThe Toasters\, are “Ska Pioneers” (Billboard magazine) and boldly go where no ska band has gone before. Having been compared to the Ramones\, due to their longevity and adherence to core principles\, the Toasters are held to be one of most influential ska bands out there. Their lean\, mean ska machine has galvanized audiences and musicians alike with their embrace of the Jamaica-born pop music style that overwhelmed England in the 1960’s\, migrated to America in the early 1980s\, and went global in the 1990s. The hallmark Toasters sound sits at the nexus of Reggae\, Jazz\, Punk and Soul and is the musical equivalent of a brass knuckle-duster. \nFormed in New York City by British guitarist/frontman Rob “Bucket” Hingley in 1981\, the Toasters exploded onto the Lower East Side scene. Cutting their teeth with a residency at legendary clubs like CBGB and Danceteria\, the band has defied gravity and industry skeptics alike by staying true to their original 2-Tone ska roots\, whilst logging over 4000 globe-trotting live appearances. \nLongtime fans and critics agree\, the current “International All-Stars” posse (featuring members of some of the world’s greatest ska bands) is one of the most formidable in The Toasters’ long and chequered history. Along with the irrepressible Bucket on lead vocals and guitar\, The Beat’s Andy Pearson is featured on bass. Expect to see Neil Johnson (Planet Smashers) and Tommy Quartulli on saxophone (The Allstonians)\, Greg Robinson (Mephiskapheles) on trombone and Jesse Hayes (Westbound Train) on drums. Special appearances by Arjen Bijleveld (Rotterdam Ska-Jazz Foundation) and Buford O’Sullivan (Easy Star All-Stars) are also to be expected in 2009. Legendary keyboardist Dave Barry rounds out the posse. \nAs the founder of Megalith Records (and former boss of the legendary Moon Ska Records\, the most influential ska label of the 1990s) the Toasters’ leader\, Rob “Bucket” Hingley has a ska resume that trumps virtually anyone else in the business. With the aid and support of likeminded musicians such as producer Joe Jackson\, who has worked with the band over the years\, he has been able to compile a recorded legacy and a songwriting catalog. Among the many ska classics Hingley has penned: “Weekend In L.A.\,” “Matt Davis\,” “2-Tone Army\,” “Social Security\,” “Dub 56″—and the list goes on and on. \nLos Kurados and Rat King Cole opens the show. SUMMARY:Los Skarnales Ska Exxplosion!
DESCRIPTION:Los Skarnales started in 1994\, rising out of the ashes of local punk rock band Desorden with help from original members Felipe Galvan and Jose Rodriguez. Always true to roots music in all forms\, Skarnales performs a mixture of ska\, reggae\, rockabilly\, swing\, mambo\, cumbia\, and danzones\, all with a punk attitude. Never letting down at a live show\, the band has performed extensively throughout the United States and Mexico. Los Skarnales has shared the stage with such artists as Flaco Jimenez\, Ozomatli\, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs\, the Aggrolites\, Maldita Vecindad\, the Slackers\, the Specials\, Agent Orange and many more. The band now consists of eight members including a full horn section. Along with four full length releases: Vatos Rudos\, Suavecito Style\, and Pachuco Boogie Sound System\, the band has been featured on numerous compilations and live recordings distributed throughout the U.S. and Mexico\, including the song “Demasiado Tarde” in the 1999 movie\, Sexo\, Pudor y Lagrimas. Los Skarnales recently released their fourth studio album entitled “Dále Shine!” which was recorded in New Orleans. The Album retains the Ska/Reggae feel of previous works\, but incorporates more Latin sounds for an energetic mesh that will most definitely keep the bodies moving. \nLost Skarnales will be joined by special guests\, The Lost Counts\, The Skajects\, DJ Tropicana Joe

These guys produce “iriginal” roots reggae with five part harmonies backed by 150 man-years of stage experience. The Mau Mau Chaplains include veteran musicians from the 80’s reggae group The Lotions\, as well as country/reggae phenomenon “I-Tex”\, the Killer Bees\, Pressure amongst others. Their Texas roots country alter-ego is the band\, “Stop the Truck”.
