DESCRIPTION:  \nThe band Inspector (from Monterrey\, Nuevo Leon) fuses classic Jamaican rhythms with the feel of Mexican pop. \nTheir style is a blend of ska\, reggae\, nostalgia for the 1960s rock-n-roll and the great romantic groups of the 1970s\, in addition a romantic style of their own. They are part of the musical movement called the Avanzada Regia. \nInspector was born in November 1995 with a group of kids who were looking for fun\, to create good music and enjoy themselves. After achieving their initial goals as a band\, they recorded an independent album called Blanco y Negro (1993) that made them known in the music scene of their hometown of Monterrey and other cities such as Guadalajara\, San Luis Potosí\, Leon\, Querétaro and Mexico City. During this time the group’s lineup began to take shape. Soon they began to be recognized in the ska scene in Mexico thanks to their songs and their unique style\, which is essentially reggae and ska\, but also crosses through genres such as jazz and rockabilly with rhythmic touches and romantic lyrics with which the public identified immediately. In 1998\, they won the prize “Nuestro Rock” for best new group which caused them to perform in more cities. \nAfter a long road and hundreds of concerts throughout Mexico\, in 2001 they were signed by the record company Universal Music Mexico and released their album Alma en fuego\, an album that would go platinum due to its high sales and which resulted in their first single “Amnesia”\, which they performed in collaboration with Roco (vocalist from the group Maldita Vecindad) and Ruben Albarran (vocalist for Café Tacuba). This first single was followed by the singles “Amargo Adiós”\, “Cara de chango\,” “Sin rencor” and the footballing theme “Aguante”. Alma en Fuego was nominated for a Lo Nuestro Award for Rock/Alternative Album of the Year while the band was listed for Rock New Artist at the 16th Lo Nuestro Awards\, losing both to Chilean band La Ley and Mexican singer Alessandra Rosaldo\, respectively.

DESCRIPTION:Powered by Eventbrite\n\nOriginally from Sherlock Crescent in Saint Andrew Parish\, Jamaica\, Cham’s career began in the early 1990s.  The Miami New Times referred to his debut album Wow… The Story\, released in 2000\, as “the most anticipated album in years from any reggae artist”\, and a Washington Post review of a live Cham concert in 2006 described him as “the man who may be the next Sean Paul — a dancehall artist who crosses over to the U.S. hip-hop market.” \nThroughout his career\, Cham has collaborated with many hip hop and R&B artists such as Foxy Brown\, Alicia Keys\, Carl Thomas\, Shawn Mims\, Mis-Teeq\, Rihanna\, Che’Nelle\, Jentina\, Akon\, and T-Pain\, Keke Palmer and many others.Cham has for a long time worked with producer Dave Kelly.  In 2012\, he recorded with his wife\, O\, on the singles “Wine” and “Tun Up”.  In 2013 he released the Kelly-produced single “Fighter”\, featuring Damian “Junior Gong” Marley.Cham’s third album\, the Kelly-produced Lawless was released in June 2015. Featuring the single “I Am Hot”\, the album was recorded in Florida apart from a collaboration with Mykal Rose and Bounty Killer\, which was recorded in Jamaica.

He is a member of the Rastafari movement. Some of his most famous songs include\, “Youth Dem Cold”\, “Groovin’ My Girl”\, “Earth A Run Red”\, “Marijuana” and “The Plane Land”. is first Jamaican single “Killing a Sound” was produced by Dennis “Star” Hayes. This was followed by “Shine”\, produced by Clive Hunt. Spice also teamed up with Hunt for his debut album on the Island Jamaica label from which came his first major hit “Grooving my girl”. His second album included hits such as “Earth a Run Red”\, “Living Ain’t Easy”\, “Land of Jamaica”\, “Time So Rough”\, the aforementioned “Grooving My Girl” and many others. \nDoors open at 9 p.m.; DJ Jahflex kicks off the show with Lady Shacklin making a special appearance!
