SUMMARY:System Positif + Lui Lafé
DESCRIPTION:Advance Tickets\n\n\n\nJoin Facebook Event\n\n\n\nDo512\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Lui Lafé” Bio\nYou can immediately recognize the unique vocal tones of his voice as you listen. As you see him performing\, you cannot escape noticing the relentless drive\, pure talent and overwhelming determination of this artist. As you get to know him\, you begin to understand his motivation and drive.Born in San Salvador\, Central America\, Lue Lafe was raised surrounded by the sound of civil war \, Jose Feliciano and cumbia music. Drawn to music and singing early as a child\, by the age of nine he was already performing with his school’s choir\, Liceo Salvadoreno’s Choir. At the age of 13\, his parents sent him away to study abroad in the suburbs of Elmont\, New York. Missing some transfer documents he couldn’t enroll in Elmont High and ended up going to Jamaica High school in Queens\, Jamaica\, where technicalities where not a big deal. “The environment was different than a catholic school. It seemed like students did whatever they wanted! Smoke a little herb\, play congas and sing at the corner was the thing to do. In a predominantly Afro-American\, Puerto Rican and Cuban school\, nobody like me very much; until one day I got stop by one of the leaders of the pack and I was forced to smoke and then sing! Well\, I did\, I started to improvised in Spanish right there in the middle of the group of guys and next thing you know everyone laughed looking at each other and in a couple of minutes I was accepted! They wanted me to keep singing along. New York was great!”Living in New York\, Lue was influenced by salsa music\, RnB and Disco which was what most people listen to in Jamaica; and also rock music\, which was what his older cousin and his friends listen to back in Elmont. A couple of years later\, Lue traveled back to San Salvador. The sound of machine guns and bombs was the sound of that time. Soon\, San Salvador grew more unstable and Lue and his family fled to Arlington\, Virginia. Leaving there for two years\, he befriended a Chilenian rocker at Washington-Lee High School\, who introduced him to Rush and lots of Spanish Rock. Going crazy with so many influences\, Lue would spend every single dime he got on buying records. He was fascinated with all the diverse sounds of music. \n\n\n\nBack in San Salvador as he matured\, his vocal ability got him noticed. A leader of a popular band approached him with a proposition to join his band. Going anywhere in those days was dangerous \,so his parents did not approve the rehearsal times.Civil war in San Salvador went from bad to worst\, Lue’s parents did everything they could and managed to get Lue out of San Salvador\, this time\, to Austin\, Texas. There\, his musical talents were quickly recognized again. He became a member of a salsa band where he took over the lead vocals and started to write original material in no time. The group appeared through out Texas performing in places like Casa Blanca in San Antonio\, El Coco Loco in Houston\, Caribe in El Paso\, and Club Islas in Austin\, Tx\, as well many others. Soon Lue found himself with the opportunity to see his older brother in Los Angeles\, he was living there for the same reasons as he was in Austin; civil war. In Los Angeles he continued to perform tropical rhythms and pop ballads in many clubs through the city. He is very proud to have opened a memorial concert for Eddie Kendricks\, the member of The Temptations\, along such icons as Little Richard\, Bobby Womack\, The Supremes\, Rick James and many others. Lue also appeared on televssion broadcasts of Modelo Latina1996 and 1997\, and Miss Teen U.S.A California 1996. It is around this time that he crossed path with\, a successful World Music producer\, and the two hit it off really well. They co-wrote “Baila Habibi” which quickly became a popular hit in Europe and Middle East. Lui then knocked them dead with his strong performances at L.A Premiere venues like the House of Blues\, The Shrine Auditorium opening for Demis Russo and at the Gibson Amphitheatre opening for Algeria’s own Cheb Khaled. All this led to even more collaboration. In the year 2000\, the album La Rumba Gitana was released thru Sony Discos under World/Latin. A major record release took place at Gitana\, a night club in Burbank\, California\, were members of the Latin Media were present. Eventually\, promoting this album in a U.S Tour that started there in Gitana and ended at the Latin Midem\, the International Latin Music Convention in South Beach Miami.Lui\, since then\, joined forces with some other producers and have released many other musical projects. Like the sound track for Balladares Films’ Destino Incierto\, shot in Mexico City\, featuring actors like Yadira Carrillo and Arturo Peniche. Also\, Carlos Portugal’s Film “East side story”. Moreover\, voiceovers for Verizon Latino and many others.Presently\, Lue went on to obtained a B.A on Visual Effects and Motion Graphics at the Art Institute in Hollywood and just released three new albums in the last two years\, “Este es mi Ritmo” which are original songs to a groovy latin beat\, “Bohemia” where he sings Latin American bolero classics and a Three song EPK called “Cafe Lafe” which includes an amazing Spanish version of the classic Persian #1 song “Pol” by female singer Googosh .Lue Lafe is a multi-talented singer\, songwriter who firmly knows where he’s going. He just wants you to share his experiences and passion for life through his music and arts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “System Positif” Bio\nSystem Positif:Get ready to groove to the rhythms of System Positive. SUMMARY:ZeeCeeKeely\, Dog Beach Rebels\, Capistrano\, Kaya Kotura
DESCRIPTION:Advance Tickets\n\n\n\nFacebook Event\n\n\n\nDo512\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “ZeeCeeKeely” Bio\nZeeCeeKeely has been winning the hearts and minds of alternative-reggae fans since their inception in Tucson\, AZ in 2018. Drawing inspiration from Sublime\, Katchafire\, 10 Ft Ganja Plant\, John Brown’s Body\, Peter Tosh\, Bob Marley\, Culture\, The Movement and so many more. ZeeCeeKeely is the new breed in American Reggae bringing a sound all their own and being the trailblazers of American Reggae while always honoring the past influences that paved the Road for us to be here. We give respect to those who’ve paved the way for us to actually be here playing the beautiful sound of reggae today. We Blend Roots Rock Reggae Dub in a way that’s all our own and shaping the sound of tomorrow\, while always honoring the past. Today the band consists of founding member\, lead vocalist and guitarist Zachary Keely\, bassist Eduardo Gutierrez\, drummer Khalil Young\, Percussionist and Vocalist Mike “Mikey Shades” Clark and Saxophone Trey Bryant. Their second studio album “From Dark To Light” releases in late 2023/ early 2024 and it’s one of our most complete album to date. Fightahs and Unitahs (2021) debuted at #4 in the Billboard Reggae Chart. \n\n\n\nThe only path is forward for ZeeCeeKeely; pushing the boundaries and the future of reggae we will spread the message of the music now and as long as we’re able to take another breath on this beautiful planet ☝️❤️ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Dog Beach Rebels” Bio\nImagine you just hopped in the van to hit the beach\, or the springs\, and are jonesin’ for some reggae psychedelic jam rock. DBR is music for the way there. \n\n\n\nDog Beach Rebels takes a unique approach to ska punk and reggae fusion while staying true to the formulas set by predecessors like Sublime\, 311\, and Rebelution. You’ll work up your pulse to sweltering bass lines and booty-shakin’ percussion that hearkens back to Meters while also dropping hints of modern west coast reggae with an Austin vibe. Their signature blend of ‘70s funk balanced out with DIY punk mentality\, minimalist roots reggae\, Peter Tosh-esque social commentary\, and even some brushes of 90’s hip-hop breeds a pack of infectious tunes. \n\n\n\nAustin five-piece Dog Beach Rebels joined up in 2018\, brought together over a mutual love of reggae. Drummer Charlie Fountain laid the foundation for DBR after finding guitarist-vocalist Tyler Rusin through Reddit\, and sparks flew right away with their initial jam sessions. \n\n\n\nRusin then recruited guitarist Milton Hein\, whom he’d worked with previously in various projects\, and Milt’s vocal prowess allowed Rusin to share vocal duties on lead and harmony. They found bassist Brice sitting in at local club Flamingo Cantina’s jam night. This rounded out the band with Brice’s tasty bass playing\, Charlie’s funky New Orleans drumming\, Tyler’s skanky guitar and worldly lyrics\, and Milt’s psychedelic\, aquatic aesthetic. The band recently brought in Fitz for some keys flavor and backup vocals as well. Thanks to an amazingly supportive friend group Dog Beach Rebels shows were a hit right from the start. \n\n\n\nThe band made a splash in October 2020 with their debut EP Take Sides\, garnering a feature as KUTX song of the day. They quickly returned to the studio\, and released two singles; Lawman’s Daughter and Numbers\, which have generated more and more local radio play. A live recording through the sound system of One2One bar preceded a 5 month weekly residency that gave fans a true taste of the band’s evolving 2021 sound. \n\n\n\nDog Beach Rebels have stayed busy through these tumultuous times\, writing new material and continuing to play shows and build a fanbase around Central Texas. \n\n\n\nNovember 2022 saw the release of DBR’s latest efforts in new music\, with the release of an EP “Just Enough” we had many events to celebrate the moment with a video release on Fox Morning show\, song of the day on KUTX\, an announcement in the Austin Chronicle and a music release show at the Flamingo Cantina on November 11th. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Capistrano” Bio\nFormed in 2018\, with roots in New Mexico\, South Korea\, and Texas\, Capistrano now calls San Antonio\, Texas their home. Drawing inspiration from roots reggae\, 70s soul & funk\, progressive rock\, and jazz\, Capistrano pushes the boundaries of what defines reggae while always bringing it home to that rub-a-dub roots pulse. Founded by brothers and lifelong musicians Aaron and Alex Cooper\, and with the recent addition of Bradley Brock and Pat G\, Capistrano is now a powerhouse of creative energy from all angles of the music ethos. Whether you’re spending the evening on the dance floor\, or just relaxing with your friends and soaking in the harmonic and rhythmic fun\, Capistrano brings the right vibes for every occasion. \n\n\n\nAs one of 6 bands on local label\, Expect Delays Records\, Capistrano has shared the stage with prolific acts such as Lion Heights\, Chris Boomer\, Phil Lerma\, Skyler Lutes\, So/Below\, Prezence\, and San Antonio heavy-hitters Saltwater Slide. Capistrano has performed across Texas\, from dive bars and coffee shops to venues like House of Rock in Corpus Christi\, Flamingo Cantina in Austin\, Sam’s Burger Joint in San Antonio\, and Scout Bar in Houston. You can catch the boys playing disc golf with many other members of the Expect Delays family\, fishing at local creeks\, biking\, and hanging with their beloved dogs (and cats.) Capistrano is currently working on their debut LP\, due late 2021\, at RTE Studios in San Antonio\, but you can listen to their currently released material on every major streaming platform. Capistrano and the rest of their Expect Delays Records family are on the road around Texas adding a bit more to the Texas summer heat! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Kaya Kotura” bio\nKaya Kotura is a reggae rock band based out of San Antonio\, TX.Their sound comes together with the combined talents of singer/songwriter/guitarist Storm Guevara\, Joel Longoria on guitar\, Aaron Cooper on Drums\, Alex Cooper on keys and Bradley Brock on bass.In the summer of 2019 they released their first self produced single “Poison Girl”. They kicked off 2020 with their first single under Expect Delays Records “Your Love” followed by their summertime single “Fire”. They closed out the year with their singles “Coming down” and worked with Freddy Bordallo and Kamaron Quinata on “Vibes” ft. For Peace Band which both made it into the top 10 reggae releases on Reggae 360’s “For the Vibes” podcast. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n2021 was another great time of growth after collaborating with none other than Iya Terra’s Nathan Aurora on their single “Contract Killers”. Soon after they would go on to release their debut album “Remedies”. The album consists of remastered versions of their previous singles under Expect Delays as well as 5 unreleased tracks and came in at #16 on the Angeluis youtube channel’s “Top 20 best reggae albums of 2021”.

SUMMARY:Sweet Limb + Kid Static
DESCRIPTION:Advance Tickets\n\n\n\nJoin Facebook Event\n\n\n\nVote on Do512\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Kid Static” bio\nKid Static is a Chicago rapper/producer who is sometimes affiliated with fellow Chicago producer Yea Big. He is a producer first and foremost\, with a style that is informed by experimental electronica styles\, but his rapping is what garners the most attention. He released his solo debut album\, Have You Seen This Man?\, on the independent label Anodyne Electric Company. His sophomore release\, It Gleams\, was on Cobra Records out of Chicago. He toured nationally with Yea Big for the release of The Heavy\, a 7″ EP on Metal Postcard\, and Yea Big + Kid Static\, a full-length album on Jib Door. In addition to studio work\, the duo also performed together\, notably opening for Rhymefest at the Metro in Chicago and GZA at the Englert Theater in Iowa City. He has recorded with Del the Funkee Homosapien and for a short time served as hype man for Open Mike Eagle. Now based in Austin\, TX\, Kid Static is playing shows around town preparing for the release of material in mid 2024. His Instagram series “Random Bad Rap Ideas” has octupled his social media following since the end of last year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Sweet Limb” bio\nHip Hop is a genre that once lived the spirit of true collectives. A group would come together and deliver more than the sum of their many parts. Sweet Limb are a throwback to that time. When the organic flow of real musicians was the additional magic that created a spell all its own. Literally it added an extra limb to the sound and elevated it to a blissful experience. The band from Austin Tx have been busy of late with an outstanding album titled Thank You For Not Snitching\, an EP titled Linx and numerous singles which have caught the eye of many. Hitting high at #7 with Who You Run Wit? on the iTunes Hip Hop charts and getting into the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Top 100\, the group is striking all the right moves in 2024. They were also featured on BMI’s May Top Ten Texas Playlist and in the July edition of The Austin Chronicle in support of their Drink’s Backyard show with NatetheMosaic and FRSH LMN. \n\n\n\nDeveloping a sound that moves beyond De La Soul\, A TribeCalled Quest\, Arrested Development\, Stevie Wonder\, The Roots\, and Outkast\, their grooves are laidback and the lyrics speak to their own truths. They dive deep beyond the mind\, body and soul to places unimagined. \n\n\n\nUnafraid to share the light with other artists including Shxwnfresh\, Tall Kyle\, Kid Static\, Norman BA$E and more\, they are reaching out into the live space too. There is nothing like seeing them in full fight creating musical poetry with the passion to please. That solid reputation has also seen them gain popularity at stations such as KUTX\, KOOP\, and KAZI.If you remember when the music and the lyrics were the only things that mattered\, take a walk with Sweet Limb. It will live with you forever.

SUMMARY:CANCELED: Rik Jam + Dalwayne\, Mistah B\, Winston's Kitchen
DESCRIPTION:REFUND HAVE BEEN ISSUED. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Rik Jam” bio\nMy name is Ronaldo Ricketts\, known as Rik Jam. \n\n\n\nI was born and raised in a community called Fletcher Land. I spent half of my childhood years in Fletcher Land until my mom passed and I moved to Stadium Gardens where I now reside with my father. Life has changed a bit since I moved\, I have faced some challenges\, but music is the only thing that is keeping me together. My love for music started from the very tender age of 8 when I would actively participate in all the singing activities at church. However\, my passion for music blossomed when I entered my teenage years. \n\n\n\nAt the age of 15 while attending the St Andrew technical high school I decided to join the school choir. As I participated in various rehearsals and live performances I quickly realized that music was my life goal. I felt a passion within me each time I sang\, I did not just want to voice the words of a song but I wanted my music to speak to my audience. \n\n\n\nFrom early on in my music career I purposed myself to sing clean\, positive lyrics as such music help to keep one focused and give you a positive energy. Music is like a gateway to my happiness and without it I don’t think I could function properly. I want to learn more about this music industry\, I want to learn how to play some instruments So far I have a little knowledge in playing the piano\, but I am taking it one step at a time as I appreciate the music and my audience as I am guided by the words of Bob Marley “When the root is strong\, the fruit is sweet.” \n\n\n\nI met Phillip at a high school band Competition and this ended up being an inspiring experience. Upon venturing out to pursue my musical goals Philip advised me to complete my education before doing music full time. Having complete my education I had a chance to record my first song “Love never Lost”. Because of my single “Love never Lost” I started performing at various events . \n\n\n\nThis knowledge and experience that I have gathered have open up new doors and certainly have help me compose my next song title “Life” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick for “Dalwayne” bio\nDalwayne was born and raised in the hills of George Town\, Western St.Mary\, Jamaica. Growing up around the sound systems in the community\, he developed a love and art for writing and performing songs. While in high school\, he participated in song clash competitions with other aspiring artists and was known to be a lethal lyricist. \n\n\n\nAfter high school\, Dalwayne was introduced to upcoming producer Phillip McFarlane who is from the southern part of the community. Phillip is the current owner of Irie Yute Records. They have been working together since then\, recording dozens of song. Unfortunately \, they did not get to release a song official until last year. Now they are on a journey of understanding the business and artist development\, and is now set to release non stop music and content. Dalwayne is reggae with a sing jay style who choose to use his music to uplift and highlight the reality of the society we live in.
