DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS HERE\nThe EarthKry band was born and nurtured within the halls of the Edna Manley College of The Visual & Performing Arts in Kingston\, Jamaica where four budding musicians hoped to hone their skills. Their journey began with a twist of fate which brought together keyboard player Phillip Mcfarlane \, drummer Kieron Cunningham\, bass guitarist Kamardo Blake and vocalist/guitarist Aldayne Haughton\, to play a series of small gigs. Drawing inspiration from Bob Marley and The Wailers\, The Beatles\, John Holt\, Peter Tosh\, Jacob Miller\, Black Uhuru and Steel Pulse\, the group soon cemented a wholesome fusion of Roots Reggae\, Souls and Rock genres for a fresh but universal sound. \nMuch like the iconic reggae outfit The Wailers\, the band chose its name\, EarthKry\, to signify its mission to voice the grievances of the downtrodden through the vibrations of their music. Befittingly\, their debut single “9 to 5” echoes the daily tribulations of the working class who are barely able to make ends meet from the menial wages they receive. \nSince 2013 the band has spent much of their time creating music with other notable artistes in recording sessions while further developing their signature sound. Through the guidance of veteran drummer/ lecturer Derrick Stewart\, veteran trumpeter Nambo Robinson and guitarist/former tutor Maurice Gordon\, the band works towards releasing their first E.P and then debut album Hard Road in the near future. Earthkry is just coming off of a huge tour to Austraila and New Zealand with Katchafire. \nLocal reggae heavies Lion Heights and Houston’s Roots from the Clay kick off the show. \n \n

Tickets will be $15 at the door. \nAs part of the foundation of reggae music\, Ansel “Meditation” Cridland has over forty years producing\, writing\, arranging\, and performing for fans all over the world. As leader of the legendary trio(The Meditations) Ansel and his fellow band members performed at the historical ONE LOVE PEACE CONCERT\, held April\, 22nd 1978\, at the request of Bob Marley. Legends like Jimmy Cliff\, Sly and Robbie\, Philip Smart\, Willie Lindo and Gregory Isaac are a few of the people that Ansel has worked with. These contributions have sculpted the sound of Roots Rock Reggae over the years. Making The Meditations a fundamental and essential part of reggae music. \nOver the past few years Ansel (who has produced all of The Meditations’ albums excluding three) have been the only remaining original member of The Meditations to continue touring. Accompanying him for almost 10 years\, as background vocalist are Laury Webb(who is also featured on The Good Of Man album) and DaddyLion Chandell. Together\, they’ve been touring the United States performing for massive crowds at venues like the Red Rock Amphitheater twice in seven years. And returning in 2013\, to celebrate Reggae On The River 30th year anniversary. A festival first opened by The Meditations and The Itals. \nCriss crossing the United States year after year\, embarking on journeys over waters to Africa in an attempt to quench the thirst for Meditations Music. On January 29\, 2010 Ansel performed for exhilarated fans at The Parker Place(in Abidjan\, Ivory Coast)\, which due to the demand\, resulted in being two events instead of one. This amazing experience produced a great live album\, titled Ansel Meditations Live In Africa. This album is \nof legendary proportions to say the least. Its Roots Reggae at its finest. Its raw and filled with uncut material\, capturing a monumental moment in time. \nThere’s most definitely a thirst for Roots Rock Reggae and that authentic Meditations sound. It’s by no means new but it’s growing in volume with every generation. The love is overwhelming and it’s an inspiring experience to see The Meditations live.

Born December 24\, 1985 on the island of Guam; the southern most island in the Marianas Archipelago; where Chamorus have been the Native inhabitants for over 4000 years; where FAMILIA *Family* and RESPETU *Respect* are the upholding forces of Chamoru culture; where Chris Boomer grew to be a man\, a singer\, a songwriter and a performer. Chris learned a life of music in Guam; he played with his family\, he played with his friends… People stopped calling him Chris and started calling him Boomer. He enjoyed much local notoriety for his amazingly soulful and mesmerizing voice.

(Houston)\nPlan Sonidero (Austin) \nThe story behind Córdoba\, Argentina’s own Los Caligaris is one of rampant celebration and laughter. Founded 20 years ago\, the band exhibits a brand of brass-filled ska that’s well rooted in Argentinian murga\, a traditional carnivalesque culture which was effectively redefined and powered in South America’s Southern Cone back in the 90s\, thanks to the work of well known acts such as Los Fabulosos Cadillacs\, Los Auténticos Decadentes and Los Calzones Rotos. Consisting of 12 members\, the project’s name pays homage to a legendary clown who literally laughed until the verge of his death. The latest instalment of the band’s live tours was baptised “The World’s Happiest Show”\, and it’s been widely celebrated in nearly 10 countries across Latin America. \nBesides the circusy ska/punk atmospheres that these guys showcase on stage\, soccer is a theme that is constantly linked to the band’s music (and Argentinian ska in general). \nLos Caligaris son una banda musical formada en 1997 en Bº Residencial América de la ciudad de Córdoba\, Argentina\, que fusiona diversos géneros musicales que van desde el rock hasta el cuarteto cordobés\, sumando a su propuesta aires circenses y ofreciendo un innovador estilo de canciones para ver. El nombre del grupo se inspira en la leyenda del payaso “Caligari”\, quien mientras desarrollaba su rutina\, murió en escena disimulando su agonía como parte de su acto. En homenaje a aquel gran payaso\, nacen “Los Caligaris”\, enarbolando la bandera de divertir hasta el final. \nLa banda\, que en 2017 cumplió 20 años\, cuenta con 8 discos editados y estuvo nominada en 3 oportunidades a los premios Carlos Gardel de Argentina\, obteniendo ese galardón en 2017 con su disco “Circología”. Además\, ha sido destacada por la fundación Konex como uno de los 100 mejores artistas de la década en su país. \nDesde la salida de su primer disco en 2002\, Los Caligaris se presentan a lo largo de todo el territorio nacional realizando un promedio de 80 shows por año. Participaron en prestigiosos festivales como Cosquín Rock (en 5 oportunidades)\, Baradero Rock\, Festival de la Manzana\, Festival del Bicentenario\, Festival de Peñas en Villa María\, Pepsi Music\, entre otros. \nRecientemente la banda ha lanzado un EP con 2 canciones titulado “Canciones Felices” y se encuentra de gira por Latinoamérica pesentando su nuevo espectáculo denominado “El Show Más Feliz Del Mundo”. \nReconocimiento Internacional\nA lo largo de su extensa trayectoria\, Los Caligaris han realizado giras por todo Latinoamérica\, donde han desarrollado una extensa carrera coronada en 2017 con la presentación de su show 20º aniversario en El Palacio de los Deportes\, agotándo sus más de 20.000 lugares con varios meses de antelación. \nEn las más de 15 giras por México estuvieron entre los números centrales en prestigiosos festivales como Música para los Dioses en las pirámides de Teotihuacán\, Machaca Festival en Monterrey\, Festival Catrina en Puebla y el Festival Vive Latino\, en el que se presentaron en 4 oportunidades en el escenario principal\, haciendo bailar a decenas de miles de espectadores. También tocaron en horario central en el Festival Pal Norte. \nEn 2012\, su tema Kilómetros fue seleccionado para formar parte del DVD compilatorio que reúne los mejores momentos del festival Vive Latino. Actuaron además en la gala de los premios “Lunas del auditorio” en el Auditorio Nacional de México. \nEn noviembre de 2015\, la banda realizó su primera gira europea con gran éxito en 10 ciudades españolas. \nEse mismo año tuvieron 4 presentaciones en el auditorio Plaza Condesa en Ciudad de México\, y su show fue elegido por votación del público como el mejor del año. \nEn 2016 y 2017 Los Caligaris realizaron 2 giras por Estados Unidos\, tocando en el mítico Whisky Agogo de Los Ángeles con entradas agotadas\, y en el Skanking Reggae de la misma ciudad\, entre otros. \nDurante mayo de 2017 ganaron gran aceptación en Nicaragua\, Costa Rica\, Guatemala\, Paraguay\, Bolivia\, Chile y Ecuador. \nEn julio de 2017 se presentaron en Bogotá\, en el Multitudinario Festival Rock al Parque.
