Formed in the 1970s\, the group recorded their first hit\, “Woman Is Like a Shadow\,” at Channel One Recording Studio in 1974 and cemented their place in reggae history with albums including Message From The Meditations\, Wake Up and Guidance. \n\n\n\nRenowned for their distinctive harmonies\, The Meditations collaborated with legendary producer Lee “Scratch” Perry and provided backing vocals for Bob Marley & The Wailers on recordings including “Punky Reggae Party\,” “Rastaman Live Up” and “Blackman Redemption.” Their harmonies can also be heard on recordings by Jimmy Cliff and Gregory Isaacs. \n\n\n\nOver the decades\, The Meditations continued recording acclaimed albums including No More Friend\, Return of The Meditations\, Ghetto Knowledge\, Stand in Love and Dangerous Society. His distinctive lyrical style\, rooted in hip-hop and reggae\, quickly established him as one of the leading voices of a new generation of Jamaican artists. \n\n\n\nBorn Keron Salmon\, Kabaka developed his sound with the Bebble Team\, which became the foundation for his independent label\, Bebble Rock. International touring and releases including “No Capitalist\,” “Mi Alright” with Chronixx and “Well Done\,” produced by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley\, expanded his global following.
