DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ON SALE HERE\nALL AGES / FREE FOR KIDS 12 AND UNDER /  DOORS AT NOON /  FREE PARKING  / CRAFT BEER + FOOD TRUCKS\nA portion of the proceeds benefits KAZI 88.7 fm Community Radio\, “the Voice of Austin”\, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. \nThe Slackers are self-styled masters of Ska\, reggae\, soul and rock’n’roll from New York City. They have been returning year after year to adoring fans at the Flamingo Cantina in Austin\, Texas. \nThis year we’ve decided to throw a big party called “SLACKtober Fest”\, Sunday\, September 30th\, 2018 at Carson Creek Ranch\, on the banks of the of the Colorado River\, just minutes from downtown Austin! \nThis will be an all day family friendly fest featuring some of Texas’ finest bands including the Slackers\, Pinata Protest\, San Antonio’s bad boys of Tex-Mex punk rock; the Mau Mau Chaplains\, Austin’s homegrown “dreadneck” Texas reggae band; Rat King Cole\, a ska-jazz outfit also from San Antonio\, and Los Skarnales\, Houston’s favorite rude boys of ska x punk x cumbia. Lastly Grimy Styles\, Austin’s long time dub outfit returns to join in the fun! \nFood trailers will be on site\, plus vendors and some of the area’s finest craft beer will be available. Gates open at noon.
