When you totally soak in the melodic waves of Mountebank, you’re enveloped in something equal parts elated, taking a flying leap, while shredding and pounding out trippy folk-rock hues.  

SIPA is what Filipinos call an ancient game similar to what modern American stoners call hacky-sack. Mixing joy and athletic virtuosity, SIPA the band brings people together in much the same way. Swapping genre-bending riffs for the ball, the SIPA boys pass around sonic excellence.  

 

Jeremiah Jackson is the king of Glam Daddy Blues, a genre that didn’t even exist until he invented it a few years ago. It’s basically an amalgamation of all that’s inspired him since he began playing guitar in high school 15 years ago, in the small East Texas town of Longview: Early 70s David Bowie-style glam, Led Zeppelin/Santana/Hendrix-style classic rock, and garage-blues duos such as The White Stripes and The Black Keys.
