Mauricio Callejas is a singer-songwriter from El Salvador, based in Austin TX for over twenty years. Mauricio has released 6 solo albums: “Cosas de la Calle” in 2002, “Mágico” in 2008, “Helado pop” in 2012, later in 2016 he released the EP “Preámbulo”, his fifth album was “Crisis” released in 2020 and his most recent album “Twenty” of 2022,  a tribute to his two decades living in Texas.

His music is an evolution of Latin American “Nueva Trova” fused with contemporary and Latin American rhythms. Mauricio has performed in different stages of Latin America, the United States, Canada and Spain.

Mauricio is also the founder of the first author’s music directory in Central America called www.centroamericanto.net, he has produced a radio program and podcast dedicated to Central American music. The experience with the centroamericanto.net portal was the seed of a cultural project called Centroamericanto Fest, which is a Central American music festival that for over 15 years has brought Central American music to Austin TX.

Shanik Hughes is an actress, host, songwriter, and singer who has excelled in various fields. She has studied at renowned institutions such as Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) de Televisa, CasAzul, TVI Studios in Los Angeles, and the Broadway Dance Center in New York. Her career began in Mexico, when at the age of five, she appeared on the show Sábado Gigante (Univisión). Alongside acting, she explored dance genres such as classical ballet, flamenco, tango, jazz, tap, and hip-hop, channeling her learnings and experience into her first album: Shanik (2009).

In 2011, she appeared on the reality show Protagonistas (Univisión). The strong connection the audience developed with her significantly boosted her career. She later appeared in productions such as Rosario, Corazón valiente, Libre para amarte, and Hoy es para amar. In theater, she has performed in productions like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Broadway, 2010), Almost, Maine (2013), and Kill Me Because I Am Dying! (2016). Additionally, she acted in the movie Everybody Loves Somebody (2017).

Currently, Shanik is focusing her energies on a new project: she will produce and perform covers of Spanish music that highlight the beauty of Mexico and its immense culture, as well as that of other Latin American countries. She now lives in Austin, Texas, where she continues to create new music and plans a new tour.
